IT Sales Director
headquartered global client companies primarily in the form of Software Application Development, Testing/QA, and Support & ERP solutions utilizing Offshore/Onshore/Onsite / Offsite delivery models. *Develop new client engagements, implementation of cold calling plan, expand existing accounts, and provide sales support on key accounts.
*Plan and carry out sales activities to agreed budgets, sales goals, service mix, and timelines. *Prepare client/prospect presentations, RFI/RFP responses and price negotiations.
*Customer relationship management. *Visit potential customers face-to-face and communicate value propositions clearly and succinctly.
*Development & implementation of individual sales plans and go-to-market plans. *Carry out market research, competitive positioning, and obtain customer feedback.
*Planning, exhibiting and attending industry trade shows, conferences and other related sales events. *Collaboration with internal global support personnel.
*Prepare sales reports as requested by Management. *Provide marketing and sales support to industry multipliers such as analysts, research companies, strategic alliance partners, and other important players in the industry.
*Moderate travel involved. Desired professional background: *10+ years of proven sales/business development experience in selling software solutions with an emphasis on longer term software project sales to Fortune 1000 companies.
*Specific experience is desired in creating opportunities and closing accounts in the Business Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) services industry with an emphasis on Software Application Development, Testing/QA, Support Services, & ERP solutions using Offshore/Onshore/Onsite/Offsite delivery models. *Strong background in understanding technical software, Quality& Testing concepts and methodologies.
*Experience in executing a proactive business development campaign to qualify prospects, assess client*s needs, create solutions, and acquire new clients. *Should have demonstrated abilities in bringing in new business relationships in a timely manner with assertive hunter instincts.
*Marketing strategy and positioning of software services to U.S.
headquartered global Fortune 1000 companies. *Substantial sales experience, including prospect research, client/prospect presentation development, RFI/RFP development, price negotiation skills and relationship building *Strong business ethics.
*Ability to hit the ground running with a short ramp-up timetable. *Demonstrated expertise in creating a mindset of confidence in your ability to solve client*s problems while pursuing a win-win partnership.
*Strong strategist with a client retention focus. *Proven experience in growing and managing a large account team.
*Prior management experience in managing top and bottom line of a major account. *Excellent people management skills including mentoring, coaching and counseling skills.
*Strong understanding and experience with technical and functional aspects of Business Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) services industry. *Experience with ATG and Interwoven platform sales a strong plus.
*Adept at planning, exhibiting and attending trade shows, conferences and other related sales events *Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization and work with and across all functions of an organization. Other Skills: -Excellent communication, time-management, presentation, analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
