) Programmer/Analyst (Java) - Mid General Summary: Our Client is looking to fill Java developer position. The candidate will develop software utilizing Java, J2EE, and OAS for a government client.

This person will interact with testers, developers, technical team members and production support administrators .This will include upgrades, maintenance changes, technical direction and other changes recommended by the customer.

The candidate will be subjected to a stringent Background Investigation. Must be clearable and a US Citizen to obtain the required Government Security Clearance.

Location: The candidate will work at the client location. Occasional travel may be required between Washington, DC and the client site in Rosslyn, VA.

The candidate will be involved in designing and developing software to support development of the Web Application. This person will: Analyze requirements and design, develop, and maintain code for the web application at the direction of the technical lead, team lead, or the project manager.

Develop and maintain technical documentation for the Project. Conduct product evaluations, participate in team meetings and prepare reports and other activities as assigned by the technical team.

Other activities as assigned by the technical managers This person must have solid Java/J2EE development experience. This person must be very fluent in using development tools such as TOAD, SQL PLUS, PL/SQL for the Oracle database environment.

The person should be fluent in MS Office tools. This person must be a US citizen, have a bachelors degree in a technical degree area and very good oral and written skills are a must.

Minimum Requirements: BA/BS in a technical degree field. 5+ years of experience in application development utilizing Windows and Linux/Unix scripting, Java/J2EE object oriented code, SQL, and related technologies (JMS/WS/Soap experience is a plus.

) 5+ years of experience with a relational database such as Oracle 9i or higher. Must know SQL and its use in the database.

5+ years of experience or familiarity with performance tuning and optimizing Java/J2EE in a scalable UNIX/Linux environment. Familiarity with relational database tools such as PL/SQL Developer or TOAD software, Java stored procedure development is a plus.

5+ years of experience with HTML, XML, and other Internet software development technologies and related website development technologies is a plus. Benchmarking and analysis of performance related information on large scale databases is a plus 5+ years of experience in system development, design, coding, and testing, including automation of build scripting from code version repositories in an integration testing environment.

5+ years of experience in data analysis and software debugging and troubleshooting ability. 5+ years of experience or familiarity with MS office applications and other computer related office experience.

Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. * The applicant must have the ability to operate independently, without close supervision.
