The selected applicant will be responsible for the design and development of real-time embedded or application software for advanced radio communications equipment.

Working in a team environment, design and develop software components required to implement features and capabilities for software defined radios. Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (requirements analysis, high level design, detailed design, coding, unit test, integration, system level test).

Prepare work estimates, schedule inputs and metric data to project management. Consult with other cross-functional engineering staff (electrical, mechanical, systems) to evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements of the overall system.

Provide technical leadership for the team and act as a mentor for junior developers. Interface with both internal and external customers.

Operates independently with minimal direction from technical leads. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in CS/CE/EE discipline along with 6+ years of directly related experience (4+ years with Master*s degree) 3+ years with C++ programming languages.

2+ years with Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD) with multi-threaded design 1+ years with Unified Modeling Language (UML) 1+ years with embedded software development on a real-time operating system such as QNX Preferred Additional Skills: CORBA XML Tactical Radio Communications waveforms and equipment Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Software Communications Architecture (SCA) CMMI and standard software development processes Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP. IP v4, IP v6, etc.

) Windows NT, XP, 2000 and/or UNIX host environments Knowledge of network security protocols (IPSec. HAIPE, etc.

) RIP or SNMP experience Wireless networking (802.11, 802.
