Primary Duties and Responsibilities: * Analyzing user requirements to develop functional and technical requirement specifications * Coding and testing programs written from provided specifications * Providing production support and ongoing maintenance for internal and external clients * Documenting completed development or maintenance J2EE Development Qualifications: * 4 years of experience in the design and implementation of business or Web applications * Completion of a college degree, preferably in information technology or related field * Group insurance/group credit experience or equivalent background (preferred) * Proficiency with IBM Rational Application Developer in the J2EE environment including EJBs, JSPs, Javascript, Servlets, and Application Server installation using the IBM WebSphere Application Server * Demonstrated experience with XML, Web Services, SOA, Crystal Reports, LDAP, and MS SQL Server 2000 or similar database knowledge (desired) * Experience with vendor packages and working on a team including off-shore resources (helpful) * Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and be detail oriented * Must be a team player * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects at one time with minimal supervision * Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Must be able to travel internationally 2-3 times per year for 2-4 weeks at a time (in support of system installation initiatives)
