Overview The Legal IT Support Analyst will provide daily support to the corporate Legal department within Life Technologies. This position will be responsible for ensuring daily support to the legal community and many legal specific applications with a focus on customer service and application support. In addition, the incumbent will be expected to learn all of the legal applications in use and essentially become the IT support Subject Matter Expert. The position will also be focused on continually improving the IT processes and systems including eDiscovery, Litigation Management, Matter Management, Document Management and other closely related applications. The position will report to the IT Legal Program Leader and will support a geographically dispersed Legal team. This individual will be the point of contact for IT interaction with the Legal Department or as escalation of issues occur. The support role requires the individual to develop and foster relationships with key business representatives in IT, the Legal Department, Vendors, and Consultants. The position will require a mix of IT technical skills (SQL, DB, Networking, etc) and systems portfolio management. The incumbent will also be expected to attending training on the various Legal applications as they build their foundation of becoming the Subject Matter Expert on Legal applications and processes.
